Question 3 - What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

.A media institution is important to consider when distributing our thriller film because it determines the success of the film and how much money will be made. A bad media institution would ruin advertising and getting our thriller film recognised by our target audience; this would result in a decrease in profit as less people will watch our film. I would like ‘Filmdistrict’ Film Company to distribute our thriller film because they also distributed ‘Insidious’ which is a very scary film aimed at the same target audience as our film. When people see ‘Filmdistrict’ being involved with our film they may associate it with ‘Insidious’ which was very successful, this will make them have high standards for our film and make them want to watch it more urgently. Insidious was the first film that FilmDistrict distributed which was successful, since then other films such as ‘Olympus has fallen’ and ‘Dead man down’ have been distributed by them, all these films are aimed at the same target audience as our thriller which makes FilmDistrict the perfect company to distribute our film and make it as successful as the previous films they have worked with.
